Benefits of Nicotine and Caffeine

The book is based mainly on the results of research published in prestigious medical journals about the effects of nicotine and caffeine. Nicotine reduces the risk of Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Sarcoidosis. Cognitive improvement is one of the best-established therapeutic effects of nicotine. In human studies, nicotine improves performance in smokers on cognitively demanding attentional tasks. Poor diet, encompassing malnutrition and obesity, is a greater health risk than smoking. Pipe smokers outlive other smokers and non-smokers. Caffeine helps prevent several diseases. Coffee drinkers live longer.

In a survey carried out by the World Journal of Gastroenterology, “The risk of PD [Parkinson’s Disease] was found to be 60% lower among current cigarette smokers than among never smokers, and 30% lower among coffee drinkers than among non-drinkers.”

A study by the journal Neurology concluded: “The primary cognitive outcome measure (CPT) showed a significant nicotine-induced improvement” in “74 adults diagnosed with MCI [Mild Cognitive Impairment, a precursor of Alzheimer’s].”

British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology: “There is overwhelming epidemiological evidence that smoking protects against ulcerative colitis.”
